      Susan Widmer is Director of the Commercial Service Northern NJ Office, U.S. Department of Commerce.  Her team of trade specialists counsel companies on exporting U.S. made goods and services.  The Commercial Service has offices in 70 countries that provide market research, matchmaking, advocacy, as well as one-on-one counseling to assist Northern NJ companies with their export strategies.  Susan has been with Commerce for 20 years and has worked in places like Cairo, Hong Kong, and Bogota.  She has a bachelors in political economy from Muhlenberg College and a masters, specializing in international trade policy, from the University of Chicago.

        President & CEO - Kallman Worldwide
        As president and CEO of the international marketing and trade exhibition firm Kallman Worldwide, Tom Kallman is a hands-on, global advocate for America’s export economy. In seven industries on six continents, Kallman operates as the designated U.S. Representative and organizer of the U.S. International Pavilion, helping some 1,100 companies “Exhibit with ConfidenceTM” at nearly 30 major trade events each year. Tom first represented our Nation as a United States Air Force Academy graduate (1981) and subsequently logged more than 2,700 hours flying high-performance aircraft, including the F-15C, as a USAF pilot and instructor, before joining his father, Jerry, at Kallman Worldwide in 1989. The company celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013, and today has expanded its portfolio to cover a wide range of exporting, international culture and logistics services. Kallman Worldwide is headquartered in Waldwick, NJ, and also operates a Latin American office in Santiago, Chile.

          In this capacity, Eddy oversees the implementation of the International Business Development Strategy for the State of New Jersey. The diverse responsibilities of his unit include: managing all aspects of foreign direct investment attraction and export promotion activities, establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with the foreign business investment community. The Office of International Business Development and Protocol for New Jersey also offers New Jersey companies trade assistance in export related areas such as overcoming trade barriers; navigating technical details, and identifying and disseminating information on export market opportunities. Mr. Mayen has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from the College of New Jersey, is fluent in Spanish and a 10+ year veteran of the US Army and the NJ National Guard.

            Leigh Ann Catlin is Vice President of International Business Development at NeoStrata Company, Inc. of Princeton, New Jersey.               Steven M. Richman is a resident member in the Princeton office of Clark Hill, and is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and California. As a commercial litigator, his practice has resolved around contract litigation and arbitration across industry and geographical lines, including real property, secured transactions. His is the author of the forthcoming book Boilerplate Clauses to be published by James Publishing. He is a frequent speaker on contract drafting issues. His publications include The 7Ps of International Contracts and the chapter on “Conflicts of Law” in the New Jersey Law Journal book Federal Civil Practice in New Jersey. He was successful counsel in Spring Creek Holding Company, Inc. v. Shinnihon U.S.A. Co., Ltd., 399 N.J. Super. 158 (App. Div. 2008), a leading case in New Jersey on anticipatory breach of contract. A graduate of New York University Law School (J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif, 1980), he is a member of the New Jersey District Export Council, Co-Chair of the International Sales Committee as well as the Professional Ethics Committee of the International Bar Association.                             Roger S. Cohen is president of Cohen International, a consulting firm that specializes in international business development. Roger is also the Lead International Trade Consultant for the N.J. Small Business Development Centers (NJSBDC), which is affiliated with Rutgers University Graduate School of Business.                                 Dr. David Shani is currently Senior Professor at the MBA in Global Management at Kean University. Previously he served as the director of the Global MBA program and the Associate Dean of the College of Business and Public Administration.   Dr. Shani received his Ph.D. in marketing from Columbia University, an MBA in Information System from Tel Aviv University, and a B.Sc. in Industrial engineering from the Technicon in Haifa. Dr. Shani has over 25 years of teaching research and research experience in the areas of international marketing, cross cultural management, Global leadership and International HR. He published and presented in numerous international conferences. He also served as a consultant to various companies in the area of international expansion, cross cultural negotiations, global branding and sports marketing.                                   For the last twenty years I have been supporting the web-site GLOBAL TRADE NETWORK (www.usgtn.net) as an adjunct service to the U.S. Commercial Service. The site allows U.S. exporters quick, easy, and direct access for export assistance to their local U.S. Export Assistance Center , and over this period has generated hundreds of leads to these offices across the U.S. In addition, GTN has provided hands-on assistance to numerous U.S. companies to develop overseas representation and markets for their products and services. There is currently an ongoing project in Ghana. Developing the contacts, coordinating the projects, providing access to financing sources, is all part of the GTN service.

                                          Scott Conrad is a Vice President with M&T Bank’s International Trade Finance Group. He is charged with marketing the bank’s suite of international products and services to M&T customers in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey marketplaces. Products consist of Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, SBA and EX-IM Bank insurance and working capital guarantee programs. In addition, Mr. Conrad works with M&T’s customers to ensure they understand and use these services effectively by providing seminars and in-house training. Prior to joining M&T Bank, Mr. Conrad was the Manager, Program Development for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of International Business Development. In this position Mr. Conrad managed several of the State’s foreign offices and led a number of trade missions to Mexico, Australia and South America. He was also responsible for the marketing of the Commonwealth’s Export Working Capital Program. Mr. Conrad is a member of the New Jersey District Export Council and a regular seminar speaker for various trade related groups in Pennsylvania including the World Trade Centers of Central PA and Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley SBDC. Mr. Conrad graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1995 with a degree in International Business and Spanish and has over nineteen years of International Business experience.
